basis uses empty buildings and creates space for creative production and new creative ways.
For the basis project first two buildings were restored by simple means and put into operation in downtown Frankfurt.
Meanwhile basis offers 126 studios for creative people, artists and applied artists from different disciplines.
basis forms in the creation of a place of production and presentation a model-like context, which raises through its existence the question of the role of artistic and creative processes in society and gives her presence in the urban environment.
In the tradition of the previous project "raumpool" basis is operating expansive. basis opened in 2012, the third location in Frankfurt Linnéstraße.
In addition basis continuously organizes temporary locations.

basis nutzt leer stehende Gebäude um und schafft Raum für kreative Produktion und neue kreative Wege.
Für das Projekt basis wurden in der Frankfurter Innenstadt zunächst zwei Gebäude mit einfachsten Mitteln saniert und in Betrieb genommen.
Inzwischen bietet basis 126 Räume für Kreative unterschiedlichster Disziplinen.
basis bildet in der Schaffung eines Ortes der Produktion und Präsentation einen modellhaften Kontext, der durch seine Existenz die Frage der Rolle künstlerischer und kreativer Prozesse in der Gesellschaft aufwirft und ihr im städtischen Umfeld Präsenz verschafft.
In der Tradition des Vorläuferprojektes "raumpool" ist basis expansiv angelegt. 2012 eröffnete der dritte Standort in der Frankfurter Linnéstraße.
Daneben organisiert basis kontinuierlich temporäre Orte.
